Senior Cyber Security Engineer (Corporate Security)
Job Description
The Senior Cyber Security Engineer plans and designs security solutions and capabilities that enable the organization to identify, protect, detect, respond, and recover from cyber threats and vulnerabilities. They will define and develop security requirements using risk assessments, threat modeling, testing, and analysis of existing systems. The Senior Cyber Security Engineer will utilize a variety of tools like security information and event management (SIEM), data loss prevention (DLP), endpoint detection and response (EDR)and others in designs. They will keep up with the latest intelligence from law enforcement and other sources of cyber threat information. This is a full-time role with hybrid, remote, and on-site opportunities available.
Responsibilities
Actively harden Inductive Automation’s internal and external systems to prevent or minimize possible attacks and intrusions Evaluate and implement effective security controls and architectures in consultation with the technical teams Perform security audits to check compliance with information security policies Development and documentation of security architecture, policies, standards and procedures Identify trends, research, new technologies, and emerging threat models which may impact the business Investigate and respond to security incidents Serve as the security reviewer for new software, SaaS tools, and technology requests from IT and development teams — assess risk, set conditions for approval, and document decisions Manage vulnerability scanning programs to validate IT patch automation and identify SLA failures; develop and track remediation plans in coordination with IT Maintain and manage security tools, including secure email/web gateways, IAM, PAM, and DLP
Requirements
Bachelor’s degree in Information Technology / Information Security or related studies 4-6 years of working experience in an engineering security role Experience with endpoint security platforms and enterprise infrastructure hardening (Windows, macOS, Linux) Familiarity with identity and access management, including PAM tooling Experience with vulnerability management tools and processes Ability to clearly communicate security risk and requirements to non-security technical stakeholders Experience with DLP, secure web gateway, or email security platforms a plus Skills: Experience with cloud security architectures/services (specifically in AWS) Ability to prioritize, plan and balance the workload The ability to work independently and as part of a team and have a hands-on mentality Python, Bash, or other scripting languages a plus
