Fractional CFO Needed for Multi-Entity Oversight and Strategic Partnership

I’m looking for a high-caliber Fractional CFO to sit across multiple businesses and operate as the financial lead above our existing accountants, bookkeepers, and internal office managers. This is not a bookkeeping role. This is a top-of-stack financial operator who ensures everything underneath is accurate, timely, and driving real business insight. You will act as the central financial brain across the portfolio - bringing structure, accountability, and forward-looking strategy. Scope of Role: 1. Oversight & Quality Control

• Oversee external accountants and internal finance/admin staff
• Ensure monthly reporting is accurate, complete, and on time
• Identify gaps, inconsistencies, or risks in financials
• Implement and enforce best-practice reporting standards
• *2. Financial Reporting & Insights**

• Build clean, consistent monthly reporting packs across entities

• Translate numbers into clear insights and actions
• Identify trends, anomalies, and performance drivers
• Provide simple, sharp summaries (I value concise, high-signal reporting)
• *3. Strategic Financial Leadership**

• Act as a thought partner to me and business leads

• Provide recommendations on growth, cost control, and capital allocation
• Support budgeting, forecasting, and scenario modeling
• Help pressure test key decisions (investments, hiring, expansion, etc.)
• *4. Driving Accountability**

• Actively engage with business leaders to ensure financial discipline

• Follow up on actions, enforce deadlines, and keep things moving

Fractional CFO / Finance Director

across multiple entities

• Strong operator - not just advisory (you get into the detail when needed)
• Experience managing external accountants + internal teams
• Comfortable working with founders and pushing for clarity + accountability
• Strong commercial mindset (not just compliance/accounting)
• Excellent communication - can simplify complex financials into clear insights
• Bonus: Experience in startups, marketplaces, or multi-entity structures

• Ability to scale involvement as needed
