Experienced Senior Data Analyst – Space Optimization for arenaflex

Job Responsibilities

As a Senior Data Analyst – Space Optimization, you will be responsible for:

• Providing micro and macro area optimization analysis of various scopes throughout items, categories, and departments (50%)
• Communicating the methodology and recommendations generated by tools to senior business leaders (20%)
• Evaluating and identifying opportunities during store initiatives and business resets for arenaflex (20%)
• Partnering with store planning and area planning teams to aid and execute new ideas based on competitive and area productivity analyses (10%)

Minimum Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree with 1 year of work experience

• Must be 18 years of age or older
• Must be legally authorized to work in the United States

Preferred Qualifications

* The knowledge, skills, and abilities commonly obtained through the completion of a bachelor's or master's degree program or equivalent in a field of study related to the job

• Three years of work experience in data mining and statistical analysis
• Experience with large-scale data analysis and a proven ability to identify key insights from data to solve business problems
• Proven ability to manage situations that require analytical thinking, negotiation, interpretation, and execution
• The ability to create and influence change through their behavior and enthusiasm in their work
• In-depth knowledge of retail, supply chain, product format, and area planning practices and methods with the ability to analyze and interpret area and area productivity data

Competencies

* Advanced experience with the JDA Intactix area control suite is highly preferred

• High skill in financial/statistical modeling packages including forecasting and/or optimization is highly preferred
• Experience in MS Excel, MS Access, or other analytical tools required
• Experience with Hadoop, R, SAS, or other applicable statistical modeling tools/languages
• Experience with multiple statistical modeling and regression analysis strategies and their practical business applications
