Key Responsibilities

As a Customer Support Specialist, you'll be responsible for:

  • Responding to incoming inquiries (including internet chats, phone calls, web inquiries, and emails) by providing product recommendations, troubleshooting support, preparing quotes, and assisting with orders.
  • Collaborating with the Technical Product Support Team and Sales Team to provide product support for separation science-related products and services through customer-initiated inquiries and necessary follow-ups.
  • Assisting customers with product information, recommendations, application searches, and preliminary method development.
  • Utilizing CRM, ERP, ticketing, and chat software to document interactions and provide support appropriately.
  • Working to meet global and regional sales revenue goals and associated KPIs.
  • Providing world-class customer service to maintain high satisfaction ratings and foster strong relationships with both new and existing customers.
  • Performing other job-related duties that may arise, as requested by customers and/or management.

Essential Requirements

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • A Bachelor's Degree in a Life Science such as Chemistry or Biology, etc.
  • One year of Sales experience or Customer Service experience.
  • 1 year of exposure to chromatography and/or sample preparation.
  • A strong desire to cooperate in a teamwork environment.
  • Experience with Microsoft Office and database management.
  • Ability to quickly master new software.
  • Strong organizational skills and the ability to multi-task.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, previous experience in the following areas would be a plus:

  • Customer service or sales experience in a scientific or technical field.
  • Familiarity with chromatography and/or sample preparation products and technologies.
  • Experience with CRM, ERP, ticketing, and chat software.
  • Strong analytical and problem-solving skills.
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize multiple tasks and projects.
