About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Director of Account Development and Client Management to join our team in Southern California. As a key member of our leadership team, you'll oversee a portfolio of merchant relationships with companies headquartered across the region. Your expertise and leadership skills will be instrumental in driving revenue growth, establishing mutually beneficial partnerships, and delivering innovative solutions to our clients.
Key Responsibilities
As the Director of Account Development and Client Management, you'll be responsible for:
* Leading a team of 5 senior client managers to manage, deepen, and improve relationships with 400+ respected brands
* Developing and executing strategies to retain and drive incremental business (B2B and B2C) by growing revenue and improving share
* Cultivating a culture of learning, strong challenger coaching skills, and consultative relationship management
* Maintaining and strengthening arenaflex's business by showcasing value, growing revenue, improving share, and increasing profitability
* Embracing the fast-changing payments landscape and staying current with payment trends and economic/competitive indicators
* Partnering with internal colleagues to seek out and develop partnership and marketing assets that will be relevant to your customer base
* Modeling key sales behaviors and skills, balancing deal and skill coaching
* Increasing Merchant Satisfaction and maximizing profits with an enterprise approach
Requirements and Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
* A strong background in account development, client management, or a related field
* Proven leadership experience, with a track record of driving revenue growth and improving share
* Excellent communication, coaching, and relationship-building skills
* Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to think strategically
* Experience working in a fast-paced, dynamic environment, with a focus on customer satisfaction and loyalty
* A deep understanding of the payments landscape, including trends, challenges, and opportunities
* A bachelor's degree in a related field, such as business, finance, or marketing
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, the following qualifications would be an asset:
* Experience working in the financial services industry, with a focus on customer-facing roles
* A master's degree in a related field, such as business, finance, or marketing
* Certification in a related field, such as sales or marketing
* Experience working with large, complex clients, with a focus on account development and relationship management
