Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Full Stack Data Specialist to join our team. As a key member of our data team, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and implementing data ingestion solutions using a range of technologies, including AWS services and Amazon devices. You'll work closely with our partners to understand their needs and develop tailored solutions that meet their business objectives.
A Day in the Life
As a Full Stack Data Specialist at arenaflex, you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from designing and developing new data ingestion solutions to improving existing ones. Here are some of the key responsibilities you'll be expected to perform:
- Gather and discuss requirements from business partners across various verticals, including memberships, deals, return planned operations, finance, product, and more.
- Build new data ingestions using a combination of local AWS services and Amazon devices.
- Maintain and improve existing data ingestions, ensuring they meet evolving business needs and guidelines.
- Develop and maintain systems or tools for internal teams and external partners to manage data.
- Perform code reviews and ensure best practices are followed for ETL and data cleanliness by colleagues and supporting teams.
About the Team
Our Ring Information Warehouse team is responsible for managing the unified data repository for Ring. We collect and distribute data from various internal and external sources, which are used by different partners, such as Ring Product design, Finance, Production network, Advertising, Customer service, and Deals data. We're excited to welcome new team members who share our passion for data and collaboration.
Fundamental Capabilities
To be successful in this role, you'll need to have:
- 3+ years of experience in data design and development
- Experience with data visualization, warehousing, and building ETL pipelines
- Experience with SQL
Preferred Capabilities
While not required, the following skills and experience would be a plus:
- Experience with AWS services, including Redshift, S3, AWS Glue, EMR, Kinesis, Fire Hose, Lambda, and IAM roles and permissions
- Experience with modern programming languages, such as Python, Java, Scala, or NodeJS
- Experience with non-relational databases/data stores (object storage, document or key-value stores, graph databases, column-family databases)
