Job Summary

As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for handling phone calls from patients, answering their questions, and resolving any issues related to their specialty medication orders. Your exceptional communication skills, attention to detail, and ability to work in a fast-paced environment will make you an invaluable asset to our team. You will work closely with our patients, insurance providers, and internal teams to ensure seamless order processing, accurate benefits verification, and timely resolution of any issues that may arise.

Key Responsibilities

- Handle phone calls from patients, responding to their inquiries and resolving any issues related to their specialty medication orders - Verify patient benefits and insurance coverage to ensure accurate processing of orders - Assist patients in deciphering and entering new or reorder medications into our pharmacy data system - Collect and process copay payments, acquire approvals, and work with insurance providers and healthcare suppliers to resolve any issues - Collaborate with internal teams to screen, identify, resolve, and process orders with financial or clinical issues - Maintain accurate records and documentation of patient interactions and order processing - Provide empathetic and personalized service to patients, addressing their concerns and needs in a timely and professional manner

Requirements

- 1 year of experience in a customer service role, handling and resolving a high volume of complex customer needs via phone - 1 year of experience working with Windows-based applications, including Windows, Microsoft Office, web navigation, and email applications - 1 year of PC keyboarding experience, skills, and fitness - Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with patients, insurance providers, and internal teams - Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities simultaneously - High school diploma or equivalent required; bachelor's degree preferred

Preferred Qualifications

- Experience in the healthcare industry, with knowledge of benefits, insurance, and clinical terminology - Familiarity with pharmacy operations and medication management - Previous experience working in a mail-order pharmacy or similar environment
