Key Responsibilities:
As a Veterinary Customer Services Representative, you will be responsible for:
- Responding to routine, complex, and medical emergency situations in a professional manner
- Answering and directing internal and external calls appropriately
- Creating accurate day-to-day admitting information through the hospital computer system
- Resolving routine problems and complex situations using appropriate medical terminology, office practices, and procedures, and established customer service principles
- Maintaining safe and accurate money handling practices and abiding by all university privacy standards
- Other duties as assigned
Requirements:
To be successful in this role, you will need:
- 2 years of experience in a customer service, healthcare, or veterinary care environment
- Background in customer services, insurance verification, and/or veterinary practice customer services
- Ability to work in a self-directed manner while interacting with customers, visitors, clinicians, technicians, and all other medical center faculty and staff
- Experience in analyzing and interpreting information
- Experience with electronic medical records systems and/or at least experience operating computers
Preferred Qualifications:
* Experience working in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work effectively in a team environment
- Experience with customer relationship management (CRM) software
