Sr. Android Engineer
The Short Version We're building the world’s first AI-driven film studio and distribution platform. We have 250K+ downloads, backed by $12M from Keith Rabois at Khosla Ventures, Jeffrey Katzenberg (Founder of DreamWorks), Scott Belsky (Founder of Behance), Brian Halligan (Founder of HubSpot), and General Catalyst. We’re going to build Android apps for our existing streaming infrastructure; TrueShort (true crime streaming) and GoodWatch (kids' streaming). We need a senior Android engineer to own both from scratch. Both apps are greenfield. You won't be maintaining legacy code or navigating years of tech debt. You'll be making foundational decisions that shape these products for millions of users. About TrueShort We’re using the latest technology in AI to create cinematic-level streaming content, and distributing it to our users through our mobile/web apps.We pair proprietary AI video production tools with a team of filmmakers and engineers to create binge-worthy series at a pace and cost traditional studios can't touch. We're also building GoodWatch — a streaming app for kids where we focus on creating incredibly high-quality content that parents can feel safe showing to their children.
What You'll Do
Build two Android apps from zero — architecture, UI, streaming infrastructure, the works Own the Android experience end-to-end — from video playback and offline support to auth, subscriptions, and push notifications Ship fast and iterate — we're a 10-person team moving at startup speed; you'll push code that reaches real users quickly Work directly with product and content — you'll have a seat at the table shaping what we build and the content we create, not just how Leverage AI in your workflow — we're serious about AI-augmented development and you'll have full access to every tool you need
