Job Summary The Front-End Web Developer is responsible for designing, building, and maintaining user-facing web applications for Ayr Wellness. This role creates responsive, high-quality interfaces that deliver an exceptional user experience across devices and browsers, working closely with designers, product managers, and back-end developers to support the company’s digital presence and internal platforms. Reporting to the Senior Director Business Applications, this role will be responsible for designing and implementing high-performance, scalable web applications using the Next.js framework, delivering robust solutions while working closely with our marketing team, designers, and developers. Duties and Responsibilities Develop and maintain responsive web applications using modern front-end technologies Translate UI/UX designs into high-quality, functional, and accessible code Designing, developing, and managing scalable web applications using the Next.js framework Implementing and optimizing web performance, SEO, and security features for Next.js applications Collaborate with designers, product managers, and back-end developers to deliver seamless user experiences Optimize applications for speed, performance, and scalability Ensure cross-browser compatibility and mobile responsiveness across all supported environments Troubleshoot and debug issues across multiple environments and devices Maintain code quality through best practices, peer review, testing, and documentation Stay current with emerging front-end technologies, frameworks, and industry trends Other duties as assigned Qualifications 5+ years of work experience in a similar position Strong proficiency in HTML5, CSS3, and JavaScript (ES6+) Experience with modern front-end frameworks, including one or more of the following: React, Angular, Next.js or Vue.js Strong understanding of server-side rendering (SSR), static site generation (SSG), and SEO best practices for web applications Familiarity with version control systems, including Git Understanding of responsive design principles and cross-browser compatibility requirements Strong attention to detail with effective problem-solving and debugging skills Ability to work in a fast-paced, collaborative environment with effective communication skills This position is not eligible for employment visa sponsorship. Candidates must have authorization to work in the United States without employer sponsorship now or in the future. Education Bachelor’s degree in computer science, Web Development, or a related field preferred Equivalent combination of education and professional experience accepted Experience 5+ years of professional experience in front-end web development Demonstrated portfolio of responsive, production-quality web applications

Preferred Qualifications

Experience with TypeScript Familiarity with RESTful APIs and integrating front-end applications with back-end services Knowledge of modern build tools such as Webpack or Vite Experience with front-end testing frameworks such as Jest or Cypress Understanding of web accessibility standards (WCAG) Working Conditions This role operates in a standard office or remote work environment. The position may require occasional collaboration across time zones. Some travel may be required for team meetings or company events.
