Researches, analyzes, and resolve problems effectively to meet established performance metrics as well as provide support and implementation services for IT projects. Maintain documented (e.g. Disaster Recovery) procedures for Windows Infrastructure. Collaborates and contributes with team members, software vendors, and other technical staff to develop, design, implement, and continuously improve systems. Works closely with the team members and other technical resources to analyze and maintain applications and provide network administrative functions. Coordinates and implements projects and tasks. What you will doProvides support to internal and external customers on site or remotely to analyze reported incidents or requests resulting in a completed request, successful repair or correction. Provides maintenance of new existing hardware and software through established maintenance procedures. Provides knowledge and experience for team members as needed for projects and to address issues. Participates in project planning, analysis, kick off and implementation. Assists in developing and maintaining proper departmental documentation. Researches, configures, supports, and implements best practices for securing the MLH technology systems. Education/Formal Training Requirements Required - Associates Degree Computer sciences Preferred - Associates Degree Management Information Systems Preferred - Bachelor's Degree Computer sciences Preferred - Bachelor's Degree Management Information Systems Work Experience Requirements Required - Server and storage hardware 5-7 years Knowledge, Skills and Abilities Exhibits strong communication, organizational, and customer service skills. Demonstrated understanding of supporting a large number of devices in a complex and diverse environment. Ability to work closely with other technical resources to analyze, maintains, and administers enterprise systems and solutions. Demonstrated ability to work successfully in the highly specialized field of systems software and to master the understanding of complex computer hardware and software. Full technical knowledge of all phases of software analysis and programs. Advanced ability to take initiative and exercise independent judgment occasionally to resolve problems Supervision Provided by this Position There are no supervisory or lead responsibilities assigned to this position. Physical Demands Must be able to interpret equipment status indicators to determine appropriate operating condition. Indicators may include visual and/or auditory techniques or cues. Must occasionally use small hand tools and be able to manipulate small equipment components such as computer cables, screws, nuts, or other fastening devices as usually found on computer equipment. Will occasionally experience stressful working conditions due to tight project schedules and hardware/software problems. Subject to regular periods of repetitive hand motion in the operation of computer terminals or other equipment. The physical activities of this position may include crouching, crawling, climbing, pushing, standing, hearing, walking, reaching, grasping, kneeling, stooping, and repetitive motion. Must have good balance and coordination. The physical requirements of this position are: light work - exerting up to 40 lbs. of force occasionally and/or up to 10 lbs. of force frequently. Must provide own transportation. Subject to call back at all times. The Associate is required to have close visual acuity to perform an activity, such as preparing and analyzing data and figures; transcribing; viewing a computer terminal; or extensive reading.
