Tax Payroll Contractor
A leading organization is hiring a *Tax Payroll Contractor *to join their remote team. This opportunity is ideal for professionals experienced in payroll tax operations, offering a 10-26 week contract with potential for extension. Support will focus on resolving tax items dating back to 2023, ensuring compliance and accuracy in payroll processes. There is no application deadline for this role. *Tax Payroll Contractor Responsibilities:* * Manage and execute payroll tax workflows, including investigation and resolution of open issues from 2023 onward.
- Assist with payroll tax filings and compliance across federal, state, and local jurisdictions.
- Conduct reconciliations related to payroll taxes, reporting, and tax liability adjustments.
- Investigate and document discrepancies, driving issues toward resolution.
- Collaborate with payroll, HR, finance, and external vendors to ensure updates and corrections are implemented timely.
*Tax Payroll Contractor Qualifications:* * 3-7 years of experience in payroll tax or payroll tax operations at a mid-level.
- Strong understanding of payroll tax processes such as withholding, unemployment, filings, and amendments.
- Hands-on experience with HRIS/payroll systems, with Dayforce experience preferred.
- Proficiency in Excel and managing extensive payroll data, including historical records.
- Attention to detail, organizational skills, and capacity to manage multiple tax tasks simultaneously.
