Independent Referral / Business Development Partner — Solar + Storage Design Services
Company Description
HPH Solutions LLC partners with installers and EPCs to provide storage-first, VPP-ready solar and battery design services. Based in Denver, Colorado, the company delivers permit-ready, submittal-quality plan sets and offers services such as engineering coordination, utility requirement research, and compliance documentation. Known for their expertise in navigating complex jurisdictions, HPH Solutions prides itself on streamlined processes, standardized templates, and a 24-hour turnaround on most deliverables. With credentials including NABCEP PV Design Specialist and ICC Permit Technician, they excel as reliable partners in reducing permitting friction and expediting project completion. Independent Referral / Business Development Partner — Solar + Storage Design Services What it is: an independent referral arrangement. If you know installers, EPCs, or electrical contractors who need design, drafting, permitting, or interconnection help, you introduce them to HPH and you earn on every project that closes. That's the whole deal. What it isn't: a commission-only sales job. No quota, no required hours, no meetings, no scripts, no manager. You're not an HPH employee and you're not selling for me. You make a warm introduction and I take it from there — scoping, quoting, contracting, and delivering. Who it tends to fit:
- Solar sales reps who run into design needs they don't handle in-house
- Battery and storage reps
- Distributor contacts
- Freelance solar designers with overflow they can't take
- Permitting consultants and electrical estimators
- PE and stamp vendors
- Former solar coworkers
- Solar ops people between roles who still have a network
You don't have to be in solar full-time. If you can make a credible introduction, you can be a partner. What you'd be referring (what HPH actually does): white-label residential solar plan sets (PV and PV + battery), battery add-on permit packages, AHJ correction and resubmittal support, utility and interconnection support, AHJ/utility research memos, storage and VPP readiness review, light commercial "stuck project" review, and ongoing overflow design capacity. Who needs it: residential installers buried in plan sets, sales-heavy companies with no in-house design, battery dealers, electrical contractors moving into solar, EPCs with overloaded design teams, installers expanding into new AHJs or states, and anyone with projects stuck in AHJ corrections, utility review, fire review, or PTO limbo. What you earn:
- Drafting (residential): $20 per closed project
- Solar design (residential): $40 per closed project
- Commercial design (50 kW–1 MW): 5% of project value
- Repeat residential within 12 months: $20
- Repeat commercial within 12 months: 3%
Paid by Zelle or ACH within 14 days of the customer paying HPH. Nothing pays on a quote or a handshake — it pays when the work is delivered and paid for. Ground rules, kept simple: you're an independent partner, not an HPH rep, so please don't represent yourself as one. You make introductions; you don't quote final pricing or promise turnaround times on HPH's behalf. And if you're employed somewhere, confirm your employment agreement allows you to accept outside referral fees before you sign up.
