The Opportunity
We're seeking an experienced Customer Service Benefit Advocate to join our team on a national remote basis. As a Customer Service Benefit Advocate, you'll play a critical role in helping our customers navigate the complexities of health care benefits. You'll be the go-to expert for customers who need guidance on their health benefits, and you'll use your skills and knowledge to empower them to make informed decisions about their health care.
Key Responsibilities
As a Customer Service Benefit Advocate, you'll be responsible for:
- Responding to and resolving customer service inquiries and issues on the first call, using your expertise to identify the topic and type of assistance the customer needs.
- Helping customers understand the fundamentals and benefits of consumer-driven health care topics, and guiding them to select the best benefit plan options that meet their needs.
- Contacting care providers on behalf of customers to assist with appointment scheduling or connections with internal specialists for assistance.
- Assisting customers in navigating myarenaflex.com and other arenaflex websites, and encouraging and reassuring them to become self-sufficient.
Training and Development
We offer 18 weeks of comprehensive training to ensure that you have the skills and knowledge you need to succeed in this role. Our training program is designed to be engaging, interactive, and hands-on, and it will cover topics such as:
- Health care benefits and plan design
- Customer service skills and techniques
- Computer navigation and database management
- Communication and interpersonal skills
Requirements
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A high school diploma or equivalent work experience
- A minimum of 6+ months of customer service experience
- Experience with computer and Windows PC applications, including the ability to learn new and complex computer system applications
- Fluency in computer navigation and toggling, with the ability to confidently and compassionately engage with customers
- A dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- A high-speed internet connection or the ability to leverage an existing high-speed internet service
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, we prefer candidates with:
- Health care or insurance experience, including familiarity with medical terminology, health plan documents, or benefit plan design
- Social work, behavioral health, disease prevention, health promotion, and behavior change experience, particularly working with vulnerable populations
Telecommuting Requirements
As a remote employee, you'll need to:
- Keep all company-sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
- Have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Live in a location that can receive a arenaflex-approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
- Adhere to arenaflex's Telecommuter Policy
Compensation and Benefits
The hourly range for this role is $16.88 to $33.22 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors, including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, and more. In addition to your salary, arenaflex offers a comprehensive benefits package, including:
