Job Summary

We're seeking an experienced Senior Bookkeeper to join our team in a remote data entry and financial reporting role. As a key member of our finance team, you'll be responsible for providing guidance and oversight to junior bookkeepers, ensuring the accuracy and integrity of our financial records, and driving process improvements to enhance our financial reporting and compliance.

Responsibilities

* Provide direction and guidance to junior bookkeepers, including training and development to ensure they have the skills and knowledge needed to perform their roles effectively

• Develop and implement procedures to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including the preparation of financial statements, budgets, and forecasts
• Conduct regular reviews of financial transactions to ensure compliance with accounting standards and company policies
• Identify and address any discrepancies or irregularities in financial records, and implement corrective actions as needed
• Collaborate with other departments to ensure accurate and timely financial reporting, including the provision of financial information to support business decisions
• Participate in the development and implementation of financial policies and procedures, including those related to accounting, budgeting, and forecasting
• Provide financial analysis and insights to support business decisions, including the preparation of financial models and forecasts
• Develop and maintain relationships with external auditors and regulatory bodies to ensure compliance with financial reporting requirements
• Participate in special projects and initiatives as needed, including the implementation of new financial systems and processes

Requirements

* Bachelor's degree in Accounting or related field, with a Certified Public Accountant (CPA) certification preferred

• At least five years of experience in accounting or a related field, with a strong background in financial reporting and compliance
• Strong knowledge of US GAAP and financial reporting standards, including the preparation of financial statements and budgets
• Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate complex financial information to non-financial stakeholders
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills, with the ability to identify and address financial discrepancies and irregularities
• Proficiency in Microsoft Office, including Excel, Word, and PowerPoint, as well as experience with financial software and systems
• Ability to work independently and as part of a team, with a strong commitment to delivering high-quality results in a fast-paced environment

Preferred Qualifications

* Master's degree in Accounting or related field

• Experience with financial planning and analysis, including the preparation of financial models and forecasts
• Knowledge of financial software and systems, including ERP systems and financial planning and analysis tools
• Experience with regulatory compliance, including the preparation of financial reports and statements for external auditors and regulatory bodies
• Strong leadership and management skills, with the ability to guide and develop junior staff members

Work Environment

arenaflex is a hybrid workplace, with a mix of in-office and remote work arrangements. As a Senior Bookkeeper, you'll be expected to work from home on Monday and Friday, with in-office presence required on Tuesday, Wednesday, and Thursday. However, the company may require you to work from our actual locations on specific occasions.
