Job Summary

As a Customer Service Associate - Housekeeper, you will be responsible for maintaining a clean and safe environment across our facilities, including Emanuel Hospital, Randall Children's Hospital, and Medical Office Buildings. Your role will involve:

  • Maintaining a high standard of cleanliness and hygiene across our facilities
  • Disinfecting high-touch surfaces and preventing the spread of harmful pathogens
  • Handling medical waste, including biohazards, blood products, bodily fluids, sharps disposal, linen, and pharmaceutical waste
  • Interacting with patients, including COVID-positive individuals, to actively prevent disease from spreading
  • Participating in process improvement activities and contributing to a culture of excellence

Responsibilities

* Safe operating of cleaning equipment and preparation of cleaning chemicals

  • Application of correct cleaning procedures and chemicals
  • Maintains established preventative maintenance procedures on all equipment as required
  • Follows appropriate security measures when cleaning medication rooms and refrigerators
  • Respects and understands the need for medication inventory control and security
  • Participates in process improvement activities
  • Other duties as required

Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required

  • Ability to read, write, and perform math skills in English
  • Must be able to relate to others with courtesy and tact under normal as well as stressful conditions
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and prioritize tasks effectively
  • Strong attention to detail and commitment to following safety protocols and infection control standards

Preferred Qualifications

* Previous experience in a healthcare setting or customer service role

  • Certification in infection control or a related field
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
