Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Patient Customer Service Representative to join our team in Burlington, NC. As a Patient Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to patients, doctors' offices, and private insurance carriers. You will be the primary point of contact for patients and will be responsible for resolving their billing inquiries and concerns in a timely and professional manner.
Responsibilities
As a Patient Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for the following:
- Answering 80+ inbound calls per day from patients, doctors' offices, and private insurance carriers
- Initiating payment plans for patients with outstanding balances
- Utilizing multiple resources to resolve patient inquiries while on the phone
- Maintaining performance goals and meeting productivity standards
- Becoming proficient with processes after completing a structured training program
- Collaborating with other team members to resolve complex issues and improve customer satisfaction

Qualifications
To be considered for this role, you will need to meet the following qualifications:
- High School Diploma or equivalent required
- Minimum 1+ year work experience required
- Previous work in medical billing, customer service, insurance claims, EOB, call center, or fast-paced environment strongly preferred
- Previous work in high-volume calls environment with several computer windows open highly desirable
- Previous interaction and communication with patients regarding medical information strongly preferred
Technical Requirements
To perform this role, you will need to meet the following technical requirements:
- Internet download speed of at least 50 megabytes per second connectivity required (if working remotely)
- Ability to connect equipment to router/modem with Ethernet cord (equipment cannot be connected through Wi-Fi, mobile routers, or mobile hotspot with Ethernet port)
- Dedicated area to perform duties without interference (structured environment with structured breaks)
- Ability to manage time and tasks independently while maintaining productivity

Pay Range
The pay range for this role is $15.25-$16.00 or State/Local minimum wage, if higher.
Location
This role is based in Burlington, NC, and the shift will be Monday-Friday, 11am-8pm (EST).
