Responsibilities
As a Personal Lines Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:
- Ensuring quality customer service on Homeowner and Auto policies, as well as a small amount of umbrella, motorcycle, boat, and other specialty policies
- Taking calls, answering client questions, and providing expert advice on policy renewals, ID cards, proof of insurance, and other related matters
- Cross-selling home and auto business to existing clients, identifying opportunities to expand our services and increase customer satisfaction
- Managing a book of approximately 60 customers, providing personalized service and ensuring their needs are met
- Collaborating with our team to develop and implement strategies to improve customer service and retention
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- 2+ years of experience in customer service, preferably in an independent agency
- Property and Casualty (P&C) licensed in NY
- Ability to commute to Garden City, NY or reliably work in a remote capacity
- Experience with EZLynx is preferred but not required
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and colleagues
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills, with the ability to navigate complex insurance policies and regulations
- Proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications
