Job Description
We're currently seeking a skilled Full Stack Mainframe Application Developer to join our team on a 12-month contract basis. As a key member of our development team, you'll be responsible for designing, coding, testing, and debugging mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS. Your expertise will be instrumental in developing and maintaining financial transaction processing systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, code, test, and debug mainframe applications using COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS
- Develop and maintain financial transaction processing systems, ensuring accuracy and compliance
- Conduct system analysis and performance tuning to enhance efficiency
- Ensure adherence to financial regulations and data security policies
- Provide technical support, resolve system issues, and implement enhancements
- Maintain system documentation and assist in training junior developers
Essential Qualifications
* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Minimum 5 years of experience in mainframe application development
- Proficiency in COBOL, JCL, DB2, and CICS
- Strong understanding of financial regulations and data security policies
- Excellent problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and meet deadlines
Preferred Qualifications
* Master's degree in Computer Science, Information Technology, or a related field
- Experience with web and cloud application development
- Knowledge of agile development methodologies
- Certification in mainframe application development (e.g., IBM Certified Application Developer)
