Key Responsibilities
As a Healthcare Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:
- Answering 40-50 inbound calls per day, providing timely and effective support to patients and their families
- Taking payments and updating demographics to ensure accurate and up-to-date patient information
- Providing claim status and explaining copays/deductibles to patients, ensuring they understand their financial responsibilities
- Utilizing problem-solving skills to resolve patient concerns and issues in a timely and professional manner
- Maintaining accurate records and documentation, using Microsoft Excel and other software applications as needed
- Collaborating with other team members to ensure seamless patient care and support
Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- Healthcare experience, preferably in a customer service or patient support capacity
- Excellent written communication skills, with the ability to interpret and explain EOBs (Explanation of Benefits)
- Polite phone etiquette and a strong customer service orientation
- Problem-solving skills, with the ability to think critically and resolve complex issues
- Proficiency in Microsoft Excel and other software applications, including Microsoft Office Suite
- Self-management skills, with the ability to work independently and prioritize tasks effectively
- Keen attention to detail, with a focus on accuracy and precision
- Ability to simultaneously use multiple programs and software applications
Additional Information
* Job Type: Full-time, Monday through Friday, 9am – 5:30pm
- Location: Boca Raton, FL
- Experience: Customer Service experience within the healthcare industry is required
- Education: High school diploma or equivalent is required
