The Role

As an Experienced Bilingual English and Spanish Customer Service Advocate, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients, answering their questions, and resolving their issues in a timely and professional manner. You'll be the face of arenaflex, representing our company values and commitment to customer satisfaction. Your role will involve:

  • Responding to and resolving customer service inquiries and issues on the first call, identifying the topic and type of assistance the customer needs
  • Helping guide and educate customers about the fundamentals and benefits of consumer-driven healthcare topics, selecting the best benefit plan options, maximizing the value of their health plan benefits, and choosing a quality care provider
  • Initiating proactive outreach to members as needed, welcoming new members to our health plans, addressing gaps in care, reviewing coverage, and referring and enrolling them to internal specialists and programs based on their needs and eligibility
  • Contacting care providers (doctor's offices) on behalf of the customer to assist with appointment scheduling or connections with internal specialists for assistance
  • Assisting customers in navigating myuhc.com and other arenaflex websites, encouraging and reassuring them to become self-sufficient

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • High School Diploma / GED or equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 1+ years of customer service experience
  • Bilingual fluency in English and Spanish
  • Ability to work any of our full-time shift schedules during our normal business hours of 10:30 AM - 7:00 PM CST (Central Standard Time) from Monday - Friday. It may be necessary, given the business need, to work occasional overtime.

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, we're looking for candidates with:

  • Healthcare / Insurance environment experience (familiarity with medical terminology, health plan documents, or benefit plan design)
  • Social work, behavioral health, disease prevention, health promotion, and behavior change experience (working with vulnerable populations)
  • Sales or account management experience

Telecommuting Requirements

As a remote worker, you'll need to:

  • Keep all company-sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Establish a dedicated work area that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group-approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Compensation and Benefits

The hourly range for this role is $16.88 to $33.22 per hour based on full-time employment. Pay is based on several factors, including local labor markets, education, work experience, certifications, etc. arenaflex complies with all minimum wage laws as applicable. In addition to your salary, we offer a comprehensive benefits package, incentive and recognition programs, equity stock purchase, and 401k contribution (all benefits are subject to eligibility requirements).
