Job Summary

We are seeking a dedicated and detail-oriented Customer Support Specialist to join our CPAP Centralized Care Team - REMOTE. As a key member of our team, you will provide exceptional support to patients, referral sources, and employees, ensuring accurate and timely processing of new orders, resolving issues, and providing education on our products and services. This is a 2nd Shift Remote opportunity, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home.

Key Responsibilities

As an Experienced Medical Billing Customer Support Specialist, you will be responsible for:

  • Providing exceptional customer service to patients, referral sources, and employees, ensuring timely and accurate resolution of issues
  • Processing new orders, including collecting patient and referral source information, inputting data into IMBS and eIntake, and printing tickets
  • Maintaining accuracy and quality control throughout patient contact and data entry
  • Developing and maintaining a working knowledge of current products and services, Medicare, Medicaid, insurance regulations, and FDA/DOT and JCAHO guidelines
  • Conducting insurance verification and eligibility for services/products
  • Collecting co-pays and deductible amounts
  • Preparing complete and accurate files for Billing Department
  • Processing work orders to field locations and coordinating timely fulfillment of products and services ordered
  • Providing product/service information and education by answering questions, offering assistance
  • Performing other duties as assigned

Essential Qualifications

To be successful in this role, you will need:

  • High school diploma or GED equivalent
  • One to three years of related prior work experience in a team-oriented environment
  • Experience in the medical field and administrative record management
  • Strong customer service background
  • Effective communication skills, both oral and written
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and practice discretion and caution when handling sensitive information
  • Medical terminology knowledge
  • Multi-tasking and attention to detail skills
  • Self-motivation, organized, time-management, and deductive problem-solving skills
  • Sense of urgency and responsiveness to physicians, location employees, and patients
  • Ability to work independently and as part of a team

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications would be beneficial:

  • Experience with eIntake proprietary system
  • Knowledge of medical billing practices and of billing reimbursement
  • Familiarity with Microsoft applications, including Word and Excel
  • Office equipment experience, including fax machines, copiers, printers, phones, and computers/tablets

Compensation and Benefits
