Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced Medical Data Entry Specialist to join our team in Dubuque, IA. As a Medical Data Entry Specialist, you'll be responsible for accurately and efficiently entering patient data into our electronic health records system. You'll work closely with our healthcare professionals to ensure that patient information is up-to-date and accurate, and that our data management processes are compliant with industry regulations.
Key Responsibilities
* Accurately and efficiently enter patient data into our electronic health records system
- Verify the accuracy of patient data and ensure that it is up-to-date and compliant with industry regulations
- Work closely with healthcare professionals to ensure that patient information is accurate and complete
- Maintain confidentiality and security of patient data at all times
- Identify and report any errors or discrepancies in patient data
- Participate in ongoing training and education to stay up-to-date with industry developments and best practices
- Collaborate with other team members to ensure that data management processes are efficient and effective
Essential Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred
- Minimum 2 years of experience in medical data entry or a related field
- Strong keyboarding skills (40 WPM or higher)
- Excellent attention to detail and accuracy
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Ability to maintain confidentiality and security of patient data at all times
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with electronic health records systems (EHRs)
- Knowledge of healthcare regulations and industry standards
- Certification in medical data entry or a related field (e.g. CMA, CCA)
- Experience working in a healthcare setting
