Data Entry Tasks & Duties
As a Data Entry Clerk, you'll be responsible for:
- Typing Data into Computer Systems: Accurately and efficiently entering data into our computer systems from various sources
- Compiling, Verifying Accuracy, and Sorting Information: Preparing source data for computer entry, verifying accuracy, and sorting information according to priorities
- Correcting and Modifying Inaccurate Files and Records: Identifying and correcting errors in files and records, and modifying inaccurate information
- Researching and Obtaining Information for Incomplete Documents: Gathering information to complete incomplete documents and ensuring accuracy
- Applying Data Program Techniques and Procedures: Utilizing data program techniques and procedures to ensure efficient and accurate data entry
- Generating Reports and Storing Completed Work: Creating reports and storing completed work in designated locations, and performing backup operations
- Scanning Documents and Printing Files: Scanning documents and printing files as required
- Keeping Information Confidential: Maintaining confidentiality and ensuring the security of sensitive information
- Responding to Requests for Information and Accessing Relevant Files: Providing information and accessing relevant files as required
- Complying with Data Integrity and Security Policies: Ensuring compliance with data integrity and security policies, and reporting any malfunctions or issues
- Ensuring Proper Use of Office Equipment: Using office equipment efficiently and effectively, and reporting any malfunctions or issues
Data Entry Shift Information
As a Data Entry Clerk, you'll work a standard day shift, Monday to Friday, 09:00 am to 05:00 pm, with occasional Saturday shifts from 09:00 am to 12:00 pm.
Data Entry Qualifications (Requirements / Skills)
To be successful as a Data Entry Clerk, you'll need:
- Proven Data Entry Work Experience: A minimum of 6 months' experience in data entry, preferably in an administrative or office environment
- Experience with MS Office and Data Programs: Proficiency in MS Office and data programs, including Excel, Word, and Access
- Familiarity with Administrative Duties: Experience with administrative duties, including filing, scanning, and printing
- Experience Using Office Equipment: Familiarity with office equipment, including fax machines and scanners
- Typing Speed and Accuracy: A minimum typing speed of 40 wpm, with high accuracy and attention to detail
- Excellent Knowledge of Correct Spelling, Grammar, and Punctuation: Strong knowledge of correct spelling, grammar, and punctuation, with the ability to proofread and edit documents
- Attention to Detail: High attention to detail, with the ability to identify and correct errors
- Confidentiality: The ability to maintain confidentiality and ensure the security of sensitive information
- Organizational Skills: Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage time effectively
- Data Entry Experience Preferred: Previous experience in data entry, preferably in an administrative or office environment
- Able to Pass a Background Check: A clean background check, with the ability to pass a background check
- Able to Work in the US: Eligibility to work in the US, with a valid Social Security number or work visa
