Job Summary
As an Experienced Pharmacy Customer Service Associate, you will be responsible for delivering exceptional patient care and customer service in our pharmacy department. You will work closely with our pharmacists and other healthcare professionals to provide accurate and timely medication dispensing, patient counseling, and customer service. Your strong communication and interpersonal skills will enable you to build strong relationships with our patients and customers, ensuring a positive and memorable experience.
Key Responsibilities
* Models and delivers a distinctive and delightful customer experience
- Registers sales on assigned cash register, provides customers with courteous, fair, friendly, and efficient checkout service
- Assists the pharmacist, under direct supervision, in the practice of pharmacy
- Uses pharmacy systems to obtain patient and drug information and process prescriptions
- Engages customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services
- Resolves customer issues and answers questions to ensure a positive customer experience
- Recommends items for sale to customer and recommends trade-up and/or companion items
- Registers customer purchases on assigned cash register, collects cash and distributes change as requested
- Performs duties as assigned by Pharmacy Manager, Staff Pharmacist, and Store Manager
Essential Qualifications
* Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English
- Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours
- High school diploma or equivalent required
- Previous experience in a retail environment preferred
- Prior work experience with arenaflex preferred
- Good math skills to fill prescriptions accurately, including counting, measuring, and weighing medications
- Good computer skills
- Knowledge of store inventory control
Preferred Qualifications
* Six months of experience in a retail environment
- PTCB certification
- Knowledge of store systems and store equipment
- Ability to work independently and as part of a team
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods
