Job Description
As a Customer Service Associate at arenaflex, you will be responsible for providing exceptional customer service, operating a cash register, and maintaining a clean and organized store environment. Your primary responsibilities will include: ### Customer Experience
- Engage customers and patients by greeting them and offering assistance with products and services.
- Resolve customer issues and answer questions to ensure a positive customer experience.
- Model and share customer service best practices with all team members to deliver a distinctive and delightful customer experience.
### Operations
- Provide customers with courteous, friendly, fast, and efficient service.
- Recommend items for sale to customers and recommend trade-up and/or companion items.
- Register customer purchases on assigned cash register, collect cash, and distribute change as requested.
- Process voids, returns, rain checks, refunds, and exchanges as needed.
- Keep counters and shelves clean and well merchandised, take inventory, and maintain records.
- Check in and price merchandise as required or as directed by store manager or communicated by the shift leader.
- Implement Company asset protection procedures to identify and minimize profit loss.
- Ensure compliance with state and local laws regarding regulated products (e.g., alcoholic beverages and tobacco products).
- Construct and maintain displays, including promotional, seasonal, super structures, and sale merchandise.
- Complete resets and revisions as directed.
- Assist with separation of food items (e.g., raw foods from pre-cooked) and product placement as specified by policies/procedures (e.g., raw and frozen meats on bottom shelves).
- Have working knowledge of store systems and store equipment.
- Provide customer service in the photo area, including digital passport photo service, poster print, and creative machine.
- Suggestively sell promotional photo products.
- Assume web pick-up responsibilities (monitors orders in Picture Care Plus, fills orders, delivers orders to customers as they arrive at store).
- Assist with exterior and interior maintenance by ensuring clean, neat, orderly store condition and appearance.
### Training & Personal Development
- Attend training and complete PPLs requested by Manager or assigned by corporate.
### Essential Qualifications
- Must be fluent in reading, writing, and speaking English (except in Puerto Rico).
- Requires willingness to work flexible schedule, including evenings and weekend hours.
### Preferred Qualifications
- Prefer six months of experience in a retail environment.
- Prefer to have prior work experience with arenaflex.
### Skills and Competencies
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills.
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations.
- Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills.
- Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods.
- Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a cash register.
