Responsibilities
As a Medical Collections/Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for:
- Identifying and informing customers about unpaid medical accounts, ensuring timely resolution and minimizing debt
- Receiving and posting payments to customer accounts, maintaining accurate records and status updates
- Advising and following up with customers on unpaid accounts, providing clear communication and resolving issues efficiently
- Maintaining accurate records and status updates of customer medical accounts, ensuring compliance with regulatory requirements
- Collaborating with internal teams to resolve complex customer issues and improve customer satisfaction
- Participating in ongoing training and professional development to enhance skills and knowledge in medical collections and customer service
Key Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you will need:
- Customer service experience, preferably in a healthcare or collections environment
- Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to build rapport with clients and resolve issues effectively
- Ability to type on the computer, with proficiency in Microsoft Office and other software applications
- Strong organizational and time management skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and meet deadlines
