Job Summary
As an entry level chat moderator at arenaflex, you'll play a critical role in maintaining the integrity and quality of our online community. You'll be responsible for monitoring live chat threads, enforcing community guidelines, and providing support to users in a friendly and professional manner. This is a fully remote role that offers flexibility, autonomy, and the opportunity to work in a dynamic and fast-paced online environment.
Key Responsibilities
* Monitor live chat threads for rule violations, harassment, spam, or inappropriate content
- Use moderation tools to warn or remove users who break community guidelines
- Reply to basic user questions with saved templates
- Log incidents clearly and tag for reporting
- Keep conversations flowing positively and on-topic
- Stay focused and professional across quiet and high-traffic periods

What You'll Need to Get Started
* Desktop or laptop (Mac or PC)
- Chrome browser
- Internet speed of 10 Mbps or higher
- Typing speed of 45+ WPM
- Strong written English and good judgment
- Ability to follow guidelines and act consistently
Pay & Scheduling Details
* Starting at $25/hour
- Eligible for $30–$35/hour after 30 shifts with positive moderation reviews and accurate documentation
- Pick your own shifts: daytime, evening, overnight, or weekends
- Minimum commitment is 15 hours/week
- Schedule your hours weekly based on your availability
Training Process
* 2 hours of video-based onboarding on community guidelines and tools
- Live moderation simulation with trainer feedback
- First real shift shadowed and scored by moderation lead
- Go live in under a week after acceptance
Sample Moderation Shift
You begin your 9 PM–2 AM shift. In the first hour, a conversation starts going off-topic—you post a reminder and redirect the discussion. Later, you flag two spam accounts and remove inappropriate messages. You issue one warning using the platform tools and document the incident. You end your shift knowing you kept the space safe and welcoming—all without speaking a word.
