Key Responsibilities

As an Experienced Customer Service Representative, your primary responsibilities will include:

  • Calling members to schedule in-home visits with physicians or nurse practitioners
  • Answering inbound calls from members and assisting them with their inquiries
  • Ensuring that appointments are scheduled accurately and resolving any scheduling issues or concerns
  • Working in a high-volume, customer service environment, requiring efficiency, productivity, and thoroughness
  • Collaborating with our members to provide exceptional service and support

Requirements

To be successful in this role, you'll need:

  • A high school diploma or equivalent work experience
  • Must be 18 years of age or older
  • 1 year of work experience
  • Experience with Microsoft Word, Excel, and Outlook (create/edit/save/send documents, spreadsheets, and correspondence)
  • Ability to maintain confidentiality and adhere to HIPAA requirements
  • Ability to work any of our 8-hour shift schedules during our normal business hours of 9:00am – 5:30pm local time
  • Reside within Eastern or Central Time Zone
  • Ability to keep all company-sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group-approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, experience working in the healthcare industry, with Medicaid or Medicare, or in a customer retention-focused role would be an asset.

As a remote customer service representative, you'll need to:

  • Have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
  • Be able to keep all company-sensitive documents secure (if applicable)
  • Have a UnitedHealth Group-approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service

Soft Skills

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Ability to type and talk at the same time while navigating through multiple screens
  • Experience working in a metric-driven work environment
  • Experience using an auto-dialer system
  • Strong communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment

Compensation and Benefits

As an Experienced Customer Service Representative, you'll enjoy a competitive hourly rate of $16.00 to $28.85 per hour, based on full-time employment. In addition to your salary, you'll have access to a comprehensive benefits package, including:
