Job Title: Remote Senior Backend Developer (100% Work From Home) Location: Remote from Latin America, hybrid in Mexico City preferred Position Type: Full-time Salary: $6,250 - $9,583 USD/month based on experience Schedule: Monday - Friday, business hours Central Time Job Overview: Our client was founded by repeat fintech founders and focuses on modernizing payment processing infrastructure in Mexico. They specialize in providing secure, efficient, and user-friendly financial services that businesses rely on daily. As they continue to grow, they seek top talent to join their team and help shape the future of digital payments. This is a full-time position, with a preference for candidates located in Mexico City, though remote work will be considered. As a Senior Backend Developer for our client, the individual will focus on the development of critical payment solutions utilized by major Mexican businesses. They will contribute to a dynamic team, consistently delivering new products to millions of users. The role requires close collaboration with the company’s founders, active participation in platform architecture and design, and a commitment to delivering high-quality, scalable software. Our Client's Products: Client Invoicing - “Pay Center”: Their invoicing product that powers some of Mexico’s largest companies. eCommerce Checkout - “Pay Link”: Their smart 1-click checkout product that reduces friction at the checkout for customers. Note: You must Include your Github link and product examples of your work to be considered. Qualifications, Skills and Key Competencies:

• Backend: Node.js, TypeScript, REST API design, and queue-based architectures (SQS, event-driven patterns). Experience with ERP or payment gateways
• Infrastructure & DevOps: AWS (Lambda, SQS, S3, EC2, API Gateway), GitHub Actions for CI/CD, and Docker.
• Databases: PostgreSQL, with a focus on data modeling and query optimization
• Proficiency in technologies such as Typescript, Node.js (Hono framework) , Prisma, and PostgreSQL.
• Strong architectural knowledge.
• Proven experience as a delivering web apps to production (must provide examples).
• Strong understanding of software architecture and design patterns.
• Ability to work in a fast-paced, agile environment.
• Strong communication skills in both English and Spanish.

Expectations & Work Style: A senior backend role requiring high autonomy. Will be expected to own technical decisions end-to-end, from solution design to production deployment. Should be comfortable independently navigating third-party API documentation and debugging complex integrations. Benefits:
