Job Summary
As a Customer Service/Sales Representative at arenaflex, you will play a critical role in driving sales growth and delivering exceptional customer experiences. You will be responsible for providing fast, friendly service to customers, learning about our products and services, and recommending solutions to meet their needs. You will work closely with your Department Supervisor and other associates to ensure that customers receive the best possible service and that our stores are clean, safe, and well-stocked.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide fast, friendly service to customers by actively seeking out their needs and providing assistance
- Learn about products and services using our tools and provide information to customers to sell entire projects
- Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in your department
- Handle basics in adjacent departments, including Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, and Tool Rental
- Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
- Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards, completing specified safety training, and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty
- Work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department and other departments
Customer Service/Sales Position Types
* Department Sales: Focus on selling products and services within a specific department
- Lead Generator: Identify and pursue new sales opportunities to drive growth
- Pro Account Sales: Build and maintain relationships with professional customers to drive sales and revenue growth
- Sales Specialist: Provide expert knowledge and advice to customers on specific products and services
- Special Services: Offer specialized services to customers, such as installation and maintenance
- Customer Order Specialist: Process customer orders and ensure timely delivery of products and services
Essential Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience in a retail or similar environment
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
- Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
- Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience in a sales or customer service role in a retail or similar environment
- Knowledge of building materials, tools, and equipment
- Familiarity with customer relationship management (CRM) software
- Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
