Job Summary
As a Customer Service/Sales Representative at arenaflex, you will be the face of our organization, providing fast, friendly service to our customers and driving sales growth through proactive engagement and relationship-building. You will be responsible for learning about our products and services, providing information to customers, and selling entire projects to meet their needs. You will work closely with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department, as well as other departments, to ensure seamless customer experiences and drive business growth.
Key Responsibilities
* Provide fast, friendly service to customers, actively seeking out opportunities to engage and build relationships
- Learn about products and services using our tools and provide information to customers to sell entire projects
- Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in your department, and know how to handle basics in adjacent departments
- Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
- Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, immediately correcting hazards & unsafe conditions or reporting conditions to the Manager on Duty, and working safely as not to endanger yourself, co-workers, vendors, or customers
- Work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department, as well as other departments
- Participate in sales and customer engagement initiatives to drive business growth and meet sales targets
- Develop and maintain strong relationships with customers, vendors, and colleagues to drive business growth and improve customer satisfaction
Essential Qualifications
* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree preferred
- 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience in a retail or construction industry setting
- Proven track record of delivering exceptional customer experiences and driving sales growth
- Strong communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to build relationships and engage with customers
- Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a high level of energy and enthusiasm
- Basic math skills and ability to handle cash and operate a point-of-sale system
- Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods of time
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience working in a construction industry setting, with knowledge of building materials and construction processes
- Familiarity with arenaflex products and services, or a willingness to learn
- Certification in customer service or sales, such as Certified Customer Service Representative (CCSR) or Certified Sales Professional (CSP)
- Bilingual or multilingual skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with customers from diverse backgrounds
- Experience working in a team environment, with a focus on collaboration and teamwork
