Experienced Customer Service/Sales Representative – Home Improvement Retailer

Job Summary:

As an Experienced Customer Service/Sales Representative at arenaflex, you'll be the face of our company, providing fast, friendly service to our customers and helping them build and improve their homes, businesses, and lives. You'll learn about our products, work with customers to assess their needs, and provide recommendations to sell entire projects. You'll also be responsible for maintaining the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring a safe and clean shopping environment, and working cooperatively with your Department Supervisor and other associates.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide fast, friendly service to customers, actively seeking out opportunities to assess their needs and provide assistance

  • Learn about products using our tools and provide information to customers to sell entire projects
  • Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in your department, as well as handle basics in adjacent departments
  • Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
  • Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty
  • Work cooperatively with your Department Supervisor and other associates in your department and other departments
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to improve sales and customer service skills

Essential Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required; some college or vocational training preferred

  • 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience in a retail environment
  • Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing situations
  • Strong problem-solving and conflict resolution skills
  • Ability to lift up to 25 pounds and stand for long periods of time
  • Availability to work a variety of shifts, including weekends and holidays

Preferred Qualifications:

* Experience in the home improvement industry or a related field

  • Knowledge of building materials, tools, and equipment
  • Familiarity with point-of-sale systems and inventory management software
  • Bilingual or multilingual skills
  • Previous experience in a leadership or supervisory role
