About the Role
We're seeking an experienced Personal Lines Customer Service Representative to join our team. As a self-starter and independent learner, you'll enjoy mastering new skills quickly and taking initiative to anticipate needs and create efficiencies. With excellent communication skills and a strong work ethic, you'll apply critical thinking skills to work independently and anticipate agency needs and client questions.
Key Responsibilities
As a Personal Lines Customer Service Representative, you'll be responsible for:
- Cultivating strong relationships with clients, key vendors, and carriers, and serving as the main point of contact for your portfolio of clients
- Responding to clients, insurance carriers, sales team, and supervisors' correspondences and requests in a timely, effective, and professional manner
- Researching and presenting answers to client questions about their policies and coverage
- Maintaining up-to-date knowledge on carrier products, guidelines, underwriting, and legislative changes to make effective recommendations to clients
- Analyzing and comparing current exposures to develop renewal or new business specs for marketing
- Processing and submitting new and renewal clients for marketing and placement, reviewing and summarizing quotes for competitiveness and accuracy, and negotiating rates when appropriate
- Preparing proposals with the help of the sales team for client presentations
- Executing accurate invoicing and financing tasks to meet deadlines
- Processing and checking policies, endorsements, endorsement requests, and audits for accuracy
- Managing, submitting, and following up with claims throughout the claims process
- Preparing and managing timetables, summaries, and/or schedules for the entire book of business with regard to coverage, renewals, deliverables, and marketing strategy
