As a Part-Time Patient Customer Service Specialist, you'll be part of a dynamic team that's dedicated to making a positive impact on the lives of patients and families.
Key Responsibilities
As a Part-Time Patient Customer Service Specialist, you'll be responsible for:
* Providing exceptional customer service to patients over the phone, gathering payments for medical expenses, and negotiating repayment terms that balance the needs of patients, clients, and the business.
* Placing and receiving phone calls to/from patients of arenaflex's clients to gather payment for medical expenses, offering solutions and negotiating repayment terms that balance the needs of the client, patient, and business.
* Collecting demographic, insurance, and other relevant information from patients, making appropriate documentation in internal technology platforms.
* Leveraging internal technology platforms and other web-based tools to research and resolve patient questions or concerns.
* Educating patients on the healthcare revenue cycle and repayment programs or incentives to improve their financial well-being.
* Maintaining and evolving knowledge of the expectations, processes, and procedures of arenaflex's numerous clients.
Training and Onboarding
Candidates must be able to train Monday-Friday 11:00am-3:00pm for approximately 7-8 weeks. This comprehensive training program will equip you with the knowledge and skills necessary to excel in this role.
Work Environment and Flexibility
This role is offered as a work-from-home opportunity, allowing you to work from the comfort of your own home. However, you can also choose to work from our home office in Manitowoc, WI. If you prefer to work from home, you must reside in the following states: Wisconsin, Michigan, or Iowa.
Requirements
To be considered for this role, you'll need:
* A High School Diploma/GED (preferred)
* 1+ year(s) of experience in a customer service capacity (preferred)
* 1+ year(s) of experience contributing to a team culture of learning and growth (preferred)
* 1+ year(s) of experience in a call center environment (preferred)
* 1+ year(s) of experience in medical/insurance coding and billing (preferred)
