Job Summary

As a Full Stack Software Engineer at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for designing, developing, and deploying scalable web and cloud applications. You'll work closely with our cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop innovative solutions. Your expertise will be essential in driving data-driven experiences and growth, and you'll have the opportunity to work on a wide range of projects, from data pipelines to machine learning models.

Key Responsibilities

* Design and develop scalable web and cloud applications using Java, Python, and Scala

• Collaborate with cross-functional teams to identify business needs and develop innovative solutions
• Develop and maintain streaming and real-time data pipelines that feed into our business-critical systems
• Execute unit tests and ensure data accuracy and integrity through investigation, coding, and documentation
• Drive the adoption of data handling and analysis within the Hadoop ecosystem and train junior engineers
• Influence key stakeholders to understand and address business-driven questions
• Lead and guide cross-functional activities that involve colleagues across all regions of the project, vendors, external organizations, and partners
• Use data from various sources to develop data shops and insights that provide a comprehensive understanding of the business
• Create and execute innovative solutions leading to automation
• Utilize Agile methodologies to manage projects
• Guide and train junior engineers

Essential Qualifications

* Bachelor's degree in Computer Science or related STEM field

• 3+ years of IT experience in software development
• 2+ years of experience in Big Data technologies like PySpark, Hadoop, Hive, HBASE, Kafka, Nifi
• 2+ years of experience in social database frameworks like MS SQL Server, Prophet, Teradata
• Strong analytical and problem-solving skills
• Excellent communication and collaboration skills
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment and adapt to changing priorities

Preferred Qualifications

* Experience with cloud-based frameworks like AWS, Azure, or Google Cloud

• Certified Designer/Engineer on AWS
• Strong experience in continuous integration and delivery using Agile methodologies
• Experience in data engineering in the transportation/aviation industry
• Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
• Strong knowledge of Big Data technologies
