Experienced Full Stack Data Engineer – Privacy and Information Management

Our Security and Legal Information Engineering team is responsible for designing adaptable data management and extraction structures that enable us to uphold the most stringent data protection and cleanliness guidelines in the industry. We're seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and help us build robust, flexible, and privacy-driven data structures. As part of this team, you'll work with various data technologies like Flash, Voila, Flink, Kafka, and others to create fast, versatile, and powerful data pipelines; write ETL tasks to collect and aggregate data; and design high-quality data structures that enable proper handling of client personal data.
About the Role
We're looking for a talented Data Engineer who is passionate about consumer-driven data protection and risk mitigation for the business. The ideal candidate will have a strong background in distributed data processing, excellent data intuition, and a shared enthusiasm for continuously improving the ways we handle data to make arenaflex's data protection act better.
Key Responsibilities
* Engineer effective, versatile, and adaptable data pipelines to handle structured and unstructured data
- Develop a deep understanding of the data ecosystem at arenaflex from a data protection perspective
- Collaborate with the data protection engineering teams to understand product objectives and provide data that enables us to respond to client and regulatory data requests
- Maintain and reevaluate existing datasets and pipelines
- Join a dynamic team of data engineers who enhance our data protection act and mitigate legal and regulatory risk
Essential Qualifications
* Profoundly skilled in at least one of Java, Python, or Scala with a minimum of 2 years of programming/data engineering experience
- Familiarity with advanced SQL
- Experience in designing data pipelines using big data technologies (Hive, Voila, Flash, Flink) on medium to large-scale data repositories
- Proven ability to take requirements and implement flexible data models and pipelines
- Strong passion for data-driven decision making and continuous improvement
Preferred Qualifications
* Experience with cloud-based data platforms (AWS, GCP, Azure)
- Knowledge of data governance and data quality best practices
- Familiarity with data visualization tools (Tableau, Power BI, D3.js)
- Experience with agile development methodologies (Scrum, Kanban)
- Strong communication and collaboration skills
