AI Language Expert - Japanese We're looking for Japanese language experts to help evaluate and improve AI systems trained on Japanese-language content. What You'll Do
- Evaluate AI-generated Japanese speech and text for linguistic accuracy, naturalness, and educational quality
- Assess learner speech and writing across proficiency levels from CEFR Pre-A1 through B2+
- Identify learner errors, unnatural phrasing, and pedagogical gaps using your expert judgment
- Suggest improvements for clear, idiomatic, and culturally authentic Japanese
- Provide structured, actionable feedback that helps improve AI tutoring and language-learning models
- Collaborate asynchronously with project leads and fellow language experts
Who You Are
- Native-level proficiency in Japanese
- Experience teaching Japanese or evaluating learner language
- Strong English communication skills (C1/C2 level)
- Familiar with learner speech patterns and CEFR proficiency frameworks
- Enrolled in or completed a Bachelor's degree or higher
- Detail-oriented with a consistent and principled approach to linguistic judgment
- No prior AI experience required

- Exposure to AI-powered language tools or educational technology
- Experience working independently in structured, asynchronous workflows
