This part-time position involves teaching undergraduate-level biology courses, contributing to the academic enrichment of our students, and fostering a stimulating learning environment. The Adjunct Professor will be responsible for developing course syllabi, designing and delivering engaging lectures, facilitating laboratory sessions, and creating and grading assignments and examinations. The curriculum will cover foundational topics in general biology, with potential for specialization in areas such as molecular biology, genetics, ecology, or human anatomy and physiology, depending on the candidate's expertise and departmental needs. The ideal candidate will possess a Master's degree or Ph.D. in Biology or a closely related scientific discipline. Prior teaching experience at the college or university level is strongly preferred. Demonstrated ability to effectively communicate complex scientific concepts to diverse student populations is essential. Strong organizational skills, a commitment to student success, and the ability to work collaboratively with faculty and staff are required. Familiarity with learning management systems (e.g., Canvas, Blackboard) and online/hybrid teaching modalities is beneficial.
