SQL/Power BI Developer

SQL/Power BI Developer Location: Raleigh, NC (Hybrid) Duration: Contract Local Candidates Preferred / Only Local Profiles Job Overview Client is seeking a SQL/Power BI Developer with 3 5 years of development experience to support data modernization initiatives. This role involves close collaboration with technical and business teams to design, implement, and manage Power BI dashboards and reporting solutions aligned with business objectives. Required Skills 3 5 years of experience with Power BI, data science, business intelligence, and data analytics Strong experience creating dashboards and writing DAX (Data Analysis Expressions) formulas Experience with relational databases such as Microsoft SQL Server, Oracle, MySQL, or PostgreSQL Strong SQL query and stored procedure development experience Knowledge of database design principles, data modeling, and normalization Experience with ETL processes and BI tools Experience implementing Power BI security and governance policies Experience with On-premises Data Gateway architectures and AWS Data Lake environments Experience with ODBC connectors Ability to transform complex data into visual insights using graphs, charts, and maps Experience integrating data from cloud platforms, data lakes, and Excel files Knowledge of Python, Java, or C# for integration is a plus Excellent communication and stakeholder management skills Responsibilities Gather reporting and dashboard requirements from business stakeholders Design and create data models for analysis and reporting Develop interactive Power BI dashboards and reports Build scalable and high-performing reporting solutions Maintain data accuracy, security, and compliance standards Monitor and optimize report performance and user experience Write and execute DAX queries and functions Participate in Agile ceremonies and provide progress updates Create and maintain technical documentation Present dashboards and reports during technical demonstrations and meetings Apply tot his job Apply To this Job
