Job Summary

As a Customer Service/Sales Representative, you'll be responsible for providing fast, friendly service to customers, assessing their needs, and providing assistance to sell entire projects. You'll learn about our products using our tools, maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, and ensure a safe working and shopping environment. You'll work closely with your Department Supervisor and other associates to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer experiences.

Key Responsibilities

* Provide fast, friendly service to customers, assessing their needs and providing assistance to sell entire projects

  • Learn about products using our tools and provide information to customers to drive sales
  • Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring a clean, shop-able, and safe environment
  • Ensure a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies & standards, completing specified safety training, and reporting hazards or unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty
  • Work in cooperation with your Department Supervisor and other associates to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer experiences
  • Develop and maintain relationships with customers, understanding their needs and preferences to drive sales growth
  • Stay up-to-date with product knowledge, industry trends, and competitor activity to provide informed recommendations to customers
  • Collaborate with other departments to ensure seamless customer experiences and drive sales growth

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

  • 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience in a retail or similar environment
  • Excellent communication, interpersonal, and problem-solving skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, handling multiple tasks and priorities
  • Strong product knowledge and ability to learn quickly
  • Ability to lift up to 50 pounds and stand for long periods

Preferred Qualifications

* 2+ years of customer service or sales experience in a retail or similar environment

  • Experience working in a sales-driven environment with a focus on customer relationships
  • Knowledge of building materials, hardware, or related industries
  • Experience with sales software, CRM systems, or other sales-related tools
  • Ability to work a flexible schedule, including evenings, weekends, and holidays
