Experienced Full Stack Data Engineer – Privacy and Information Management

Our Security and Legal Information Engineering team is at the forefront of building adaptable data management and extraction structures that enable us to maintain the highest levels of data protection and cleanliness. We're seeking an experienced Data Engineer to join our team and help us build robust, flexible, and protection-driven data structures. As part of this team, you'll work with various data technologies like Flash, Voila, Flink, Kafka, and others to create fast, flexible, and powerful data pipelines; write ETL tasks to collect and aggregate data; and design high-quality data structures that enable proper handling of user personal data.
About the Role
As a Data Engineer on our team, you'll be responsible for:
- Designing and implementing effective, flexible, and adaptable data pipelines to handle structured and unstructured data
- Developing a deep understanding of the data ecosystem at arenaflex from a data protection perspective
- Collaborating with the data protection engineering teams to understand product objectives and provide data that enables us to respond to user and regulatory data requests
- Maintaining and re-evaluating existing datasets and pipelines
- Joining a talented team of data engineers who enhance our data protection act and mitigate legal and regulatory risk
What We're Looking For
* A passion for consumer-driven data protection and risk mitigation for the business
- Proficiency in at least one of Java, Python, or Scala with a minimum of 2 years of programming/data engineering experience
- Strong skills in advanced SQL
- Experience in designing data pipelines using big data technologies (Hive, Voila, Flash, Flink) on medium to large-scale datasets
- Ability to take requirements and implement flexible data models and pipelines
