Job Summary
We are seeking an experienced Customer Service Representative to join our team in Golden, CO. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for answering incoming phone calls from customers, identifying their needs, and providing assistance and support. You will also communicate directly with clinical staff for patient needs, schedule appointments, and perform other tasks as needed. This is a full-time position that requires a strong customer service background, excellent communication skills, and the ability to work in a fast-paced environment.
Responsibilities
* Answer an average of 60-80 incoming phone calls per day from customers and identify the type of assistance they need
- Ask appropriate questions and listen actively to identify specific questions or issues while documenting required information in computer systems
- Communicate directly with clinical staff for patient needs, including medication refills, referral requests, and chart troubleshooting
- Schedule appointments for patients and enter and update demographics
- Perform other tasks as needed, such as responding to emails and resolving customer complaints
Requirements
* High school diploma or equivalent experience
- Must be 18 years old or older
- Experience with computer and Windows PC applications, including the ability to navigate and learn new and complex computer system applications
- Typing speed of 40 wpm
- 1+ years of experience in a customer service environment, using phones and computers as the primary job tools
- Ability to work Monday-Friday, 8:00am-5:00pm Mountain Time, with occasional overtime as needed
Preferred Qualifications
* 1+ years of prior healthcare experience
- Knowledge of medical terminology
- Experience with telecommuting and working in a remote environment
Telecommuting Requirements
* Reside within Golden, CO
- Ability to keep all company-sensitive documents secure
- Required to have a dedicated work area established that is separated from other living areas and provides information privacy
- Must live in a location that can receive a UnitedHealth Group-approved high-speed internet connection or leverage an existing high-speed internet service
Compensation and Benefits
* Hourly range: $16.00 to $28.85 per hour based on full-time employment
