Job Summary
We're seeking an experienced and detail-oriented Remote LTC Pharmacy Data Entry Technician to join our team. As a key member of our team, you'll play a vital role in ensuring the health and wellness of seniors by accurately processing prescription orders and medical records. Responsibilities
As a Remote LTC Pharmacy Data Entry Technician, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Contacting physician's offices as needed for refill authorization
- Contacting clients for verification of orders as needed
- Processing all new and refill prescriptions
- Opening orders as needed, verifying eligibility, proof, and inputting prescriptions while maintaining productivity and quality standards
- Documenting correspondence and follow-up in the system
- Preparing audit sheets and providing feedback to managers
- Forwarding incomplete or rejected scripts to the appropriate department for resolution and tracking status in the system
- Initiating and documenting correspondence and follow-up in the system
- Assisting with research of lost or missing orders per internal department requests
- Providing backup support to other pharmacy groups based on business needs or production levels
- Answering incoming calls promptly and providing a high standard of customer service to clients
Qualifications
To be successful in this role, you'll need:
- A High School diploma or general education degree (GED)
- Pharmacy Technician license and Certification (CPhT) as per state requirements
- Long-term care pharmacy experience preferred
- Frameworks and Docutrack experience preferred
- Ability to work in a flexible schedule as operational needs dictate, including nights, weekends, and holidays
Preferred Qualifications
* Pharmacy data entry experience; minimum one year
- Strong knowledge of Brand/Generic drugs and medical terminology
