Job Responsibilities

As a Customer Service (Operations Support) Specialist, you'll be responsible for providing exceptional customer service to our clients, processing new business, and handling claims and other high-volume tasks. Your duties will include:

  • Maintaining accurate and up-to-date customer profiles
  • Establishing and maintaining positive working relationships with clients, employers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders
  • Organizing and working with detailed records to ensure efficient and effective service delivery
  • Handling inbound phone calls and email correspondence from clients, employers, insurance companies, and other stakeholders
  • Providing high-level customer service to all incoming inquiries, including resolving issues and referring complex matters to management
  • Collaborating with internal teams to ensure seamless service delivery and continuous improvement

Qualifications

To succeed in this role, you'll need:

  • Excellent written and verbal communication skills, with the ability to communicate effectively with various personalities
  • Strong organizational skills, with the ability to prioritize tasks and manage multiple projects simultaneously
  • Ability to gather accurate information and resolve issues efficiently and effectively
  • Effective problem-solving and critical thinking skills, with the ability to analyze complex situations and develop creative solutions
  • Strong technical skills, including proficiency in Microsoft Office and ability to work within a Windows-based environment
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced environment with multiple priorities and deadlines
  • Dependability, integrity, and compassion are essential for this role

Preferred Qualifications

While not required, the following qualifications are highly desirable:

  • Experience in customer service or operations support, preferably in the insurance or financial services industry
  • Knowledge of preneed insurance solutions and the funeral industry
  • Certification in customer service or a related field
  • Experience with CRM software and other customer service tools
