Experienced Customer Service and Sales Professional – Driving Sales Growth and Exceptional Customer Experience at arenaflex

In this dynamic role, you will have the opportunity to work in a variety of departments, including Building Materials, Décor, Electrical, Flooring, Garden, Hardware, Kitchen & Bath, Lumber, Millwork, Paint, Plumbing, and Tool Rental. You will be part of a collaborative team, working closely with Department Supervisors and other associates to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service.

Key Responsibilities:

* Provide fast, friendly service to customers, actively seeking out opportunities to assess their needs and provide assistance

• Learn about products and services using our tools and training programs, and provide information to customers to drive sales growth
• Greet, qualify, recommend, and close every customer in your department, and know how to handle basics in adjacent departments
• Maintain the in-stock condition of assigned areas, ensuring they are clean, shop-able, and safe
• Provide a safe working and shopping environment by following all safety policies and standards, completing specified safety training, and reporting hazards and unsafe conditions to the Manager on Duty
• Work in cooperation with Department Supervisors and other associates in your department and other departments to achieve sales targets and provide exceptional customer service

Essential Qualifications:

* High school diploma or equivalent required; associate's or bachelor's degree in a related field preferred

• 1-2 years of customer service or sales experience in a retail or similar environment
• Excellent communication and interpersonal skills, with the ability to work effectively with customers, colleagues, and management
• Strong product knowledge and sales skills, with the ability to learn and adapt to new products and services
• Ability to work in a fast-paced environment, with a focus on meeting sales targets and providing exceptional customer service
• Basic math skills and accuracy with handling cash and operating a point-of-sale system

Preferred Qualifications:

* Previous experience in a retail or sales environment, with a focus on customer service and sales growth

• Knowledge of building materials, hardware, and other related products and services
• Experience with sales software and technology, such as CRM systems and sales analytics tools
