Key Responsibilities
As a Remote Data Entry Operator, your primary responsibilities will include:
- Establishing and maintaining utility accounts with high accuracy and speed
- Verifying account eligibility and accessibility to ensure seamless customer experiences
- Preparing, distributing, and completing work orders in a timely and efficient manner
- Preparing files for mass customer communications, including billing statements and notices
- Scanning or retaining documents to maintain accurate records
- Performing monthly audits of incomplete account transfer requests to ensure data integrity
- Entering data into Key Performance Indicator tracking databases to inform business decisions
- Performing other related duties as assigned by the team lead or management
Essential Qualifications
To succeed in this role, you'll need:
- A High School Diploma or an acceptable equivalency diploma (GED)
- Two (2) years of experience as a high-volume data entry operator or typist
- Excellent computer skills, typing accuracy, and 10-key skills
- Ability to work independently with minimal supervision
- Strong attention to detail and organizational skills
- Excellent communication and interpersonal skills
Preferred Qualifications
While not required, we prefer candidates with:
- An Associate's degree in business administration, data entry, or related fields
- Two (2) years of experience as a high-volume data entry operator or typist
- Proven experience with customer service software and systems
- Familiarity with Key Performance Indicator tracking databases
