Experienced Bilingual Outreach Specialist – Healthcare Customer Service Representative (Remote)

As a key member of our customer service team, you'll play a critical role in building relationships with our clients and their patients, interpreting and clarifying information, and determining what additional support may be required.

Role Summary
As a Bilingual Outreach Specialist, you'll be responsible for:
- Making outbound and receiving inbound calls to provide detailed information about eligibility services and conduct eligibility screening
- Interviewing patients/members via phone to gather personal/sensitive information to determine eligibility for various programs
- Interpreting and explaining information such as eligibility requirements and application details
- Clarifying eligibility data with patients or members
- Compiling, recording, and evaluating personal and financial data to verify completeness and accuracy
- Utilizing our computer system to accurately complete the screening for eligibility and disposition the account as required
- Initiating procedures to refer patients/members to other agencies for assistance as appropriate
- Monitoring actions to ensure goals are met
- Understanding and agreeing to role-specific information security access and responsibilities
- Ensuring safety and confidentiality of data and systems by adhering to our information security policies
Role Requirements
* Bilingual preferred (Spanish and English); fully fluent reading, writing, speaking
- 1+ years in a Call Center environment, inbound and outbound
- 1+ years experience working with call queues
- 1+ years Customer Service experience
- Empathy and desire to help others
- Strong decision-making skills
- Ability to provide a private and quiet work environment, and work independently
- Strong attention to detail and follow-through skills
- Experience in healthcare or government benefits or agencies a plus
- Highly proficient in MS Office (Outlook, Word, Excel, Teams)
- Strong communication and customer service skills
- Ability to track/monitor/retrieve information on calls
