Job Summary
As a Senior Data Engineer at arenaflex, you'll be responsible for designing, building, and maintaining our event-driven data pipelines on AWS. You'll work closely with our data science team to understand and define data requirements, and collaborate with our engineering team to ensure seamless integration with our existing systems. You'll also be responsible for performing data quality checks and monitoring, advancing data pipelines for execution and cost, and staying up-to-date on the latest AWS advancements.
Key Responsibilities
* Design, build, and maintain event-driven data pipelines on AWS
* Work with data science team to understand and define data requirements
* Collaborate with engineering team to ensure seamless integration with existing systems
* Perform data quality checks and monitoring
* Advance data pipelines for execution and cost
* Stay up-to-date on the latest AWS advancements
* Create and implement personalization calculations using Python and Pydantic models
* Build and maintain DynamoDB tables and NoSQL databases
* Use Amazon Kinesis to collect, process, and analyze streaming data

What You Need to Succeed
To be successful in this role, you'll need to have:
* A strong understanding of AWS services, including Amazon EventBridge, AWS Lambda, and AWS Step Functions
* Experience with data engineering, including data modeling, data quality, and data security
* Proficiency in Python and serverless technologies
* Experience with personalization, Pydantic models, DynamoDB, and NoSQL databases
* Experience with Amazon Kinesis and streaming data processing
* Strong critical thinking and problem-solving skills
* Ability to work independently and as part of a team
What Will Give You an Upper Hand

* A four-year degree in computer science, data science, or a related field
* 3+ years of experience in data engineering
* Experience with machine learning and artificial intelligence
