Job Summary

We're seeking experienced Customer Service Representatives to join our Inbound Call Center team in Mendota Heights, Minnesota. As a Customer Service Representative, you will be responsible for handling incoming telephone requests, providing accurate and timely information, and ensuring exceptional customer experiences. This is a full-time, permanent position with a competitive benefits package, including a starting hourly rate of $15.00, quarterly performance bonuses, and opportunities for career growth and development.

Key Responsibilities

* Handle incoming telephone requests from excavators, homeowners, and facility operators, providing accurate and timely information to ensure their safety and the integrity of underground infrastructure.

  • Follow scripted questions from callers to obtain information about their work site, including location, type of excavation, and other relevant details.
  • Enter data into a ticket format, using a mapping system similar to Google Maps to identify the work site.
  • Provide excellent customer service, responding to customer inquiries, resolving issues, and escalating concerns as necessary.
  • Work effectively and independently in a home or office environment, with opportunities to work remotely after completing a two-week paid training course.
  • Collaborate with peers and management to achieve team goals and objectives.
  • Participate in ongoing training and development to enhance skills and knowledge.

Essential Qualifications

* High school diploma or GED

  • Excellent written and oral communication skills
  • Ability to listen and problem-solve effectively
  • General computer skills, including proficiency in data entry and mapping systems
  • Ability to work effectively and independently in a home or office environment
  • Self-motivated and able to work independently
  • Willingness to work overtime based upon the business needs of the call center
  • Availability to work during operating hours of the call center
  • Must pass a criminal background check

Preferred Qualifications

* Prior experience in customer service or a related field

  • Knowledge of public safety and damage prevention principles
  • Experience with mapping systems and data entry software
  • Strong problem-solving and analytical skills
  • Ability to work in a fast-paced, dynamic environment
